Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him (Psalm 146:1)

The music ministry touches every area of the church from children to adults. We seek to help people to develop and use their talents to glorify God, and to enhance our worship services.

You are invited to get involved in the music ministry of CUMC. If you enjoy singing or if you play in instrument, there is a place for you to use your gifts.

Chancel Choir
Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 and the choir sings each Sunday morning during the 11:00 worship service. If you are in high school or older we would love to have you come and sing with us. New singers are welcome and needed! Ability to read music is not necessary, just the ability to sing on pitch. Rehearsal tapes can be made available.

Handbell Choir, under the direction of Karen Witoff, rehearses Tuesday evenings at 7:30 and plays in worship services several times throughout the year. New ringers are always welcome. People of all ages (both male and female) from high school and up are encouraged to join. If you enjoy hearing bells ring why not join us on Tuesday evenings at 7:30.

Praise Team meets on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and leads worship at the 8:45 AM Sunday service. Made up of a worship band and singers, this energetic group lead worship in a contemporary style.

Children's Choir for children in Kindergarten through grade 5 sings for special services throughout the year. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 on an announced basis.

Instrumental Music and Orchestra High school musicians and adults are invited to play special solos or ensembles during Sunday worship services. An orchestra, under the direction of Ray Halbert, plays several times throughout the year. Please contact Diane Kofahl for more information.

Tech Team - Sound and Video operators
The unsung heroes of the Worship and Music Department are those dedicated sound and video operators needed at our worship services and all special presentations. New help is always appreciated.

We have a wonderful wealth of talent at CUMC. Let's all join together to "Make a joyful noise to the Lord."
