Welcome to Clarence United!

"Heifer for Haiti"
February 28th will be Kick-Off Sunday for the Noah's Ark Mission Project. It will involve all of the Sunday school children, from grades Pre-K to 5, and their families. The children in Sunday school will bring home a calendar and an ark bank. The calendar is divided into 4 weeks. Each day has a different emphasis and lesson, geared toward knowledge about our environment or food and nutrition.
We are asking that you set aside time to read each day's lesson, and determine how much money to put in the bank. You may want to have a supply of change available, as most days ask for a donation of an amount of change. We'll tell the children that "couch change" only counts with parent permission. Certainly we encourage the children to give a very small portion of their allowance, if they have one, as this teaches sharing from the abundance of what we are given.
We are calling this Sunday school wide program, "Heifer for Haiti", starting with this kick off program on February 28th. The program will introduce Heifer International, relate our Sunday school goals to the mission, and talk about world hunger.
We hope your children will be excited about participating in this program and engaging the family members in conversations and prayers for those who are in such great need.
